The 2008 Conference Program committee is gearing up for the annual conference of the Great Lakes Association of College and University Housing Officers in Cincinnati OH, November 15-18th , 2008. This year’s conference, hosted by Wright State University, the University of Cincinnati and the University of Dayton is themed “Journeys” and will include a Monday Night on the Town to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. We invite you to begin your own journey to this year’s conference by submitting a program proposal for this year’s conference.
GLACUHO prides itself on the willingness of its talented members to exchange ideas and share knowledge with fellow professionals. We ask that you consider contributing your time and energy to present your innovations, experiences, best practices, programs, successes, and/or challenges as a housing professional. In addition, we also ask that you partner with or recommend Senior Housing Officers, faculty members and/or other colleagues to present programs and experiences at this year’s conference. Your participation will help ensure a meaningful conference experience for everyone.
On the next few pages you will find a variety of program ideas, as well as our criteria for program selection and the proposal form. Please take a few moments to read through this information before you develop and submit your proposal. The Program Committee hopes to develop an overall conference schedule that is appealing to all members of our organization. Program proposals are due by Friday, May 23, 2008 and may be submitted in paper form or preferably on the GLACUHO Conference web site at the following web address:
The Conference Program committee pages on the GLACUHO website also contain links to ideas for session topics, help in identifying a target audience, and assistance in developing your abstract and session outline.
