| The purpose
of the Committee for Social Justice Education is to
identify and create strategies to address areas of
oppression and the needs of other special populations
that are not currently addressed by other GLACUHO
committees.
General Responsibilities
• To foster among housing officers the following
set of supporting values: acceptance, accountability,
empowerment, honesty, integrity, openness, respect,
sensitivity, trust and understanding.
• To identify and assess the need and evaluate
the initiatives of the Association for its members
from traditionally underrepresented groups.
• To provide educational opportunities and
resources designed to facilitate personal growth
and professional development related to members
or traditionally underrepresented groups.
• To support networking and to provide professional
development and personal support in a global workplace.
• To challenge practices and paradigms which
interfere with the celebration of diversity.
• Work with other issues committees to provide
educational opportunities.
